It's an endless discussion where to place adsense ads on blog for high CTR. As bloggers are paid on per click basis, they try various ad placements on the blog to increase the revenue and get maximum clicks on the ad units. The best area to place adsense ads are near to the header and above the post titles. It is because the area just below the post title gets the most exposure and is the best place to put AdSense ad units to increase Click Through Rate (CTR). Placing adsense ads above post title will definitely increase your blog CTR as it placed in your blog on above the fold area, so CPM rates will also be better than the ads which are in the below fold area of your blog. There is an option in blogger to add adsense ads near to blog header just by going to layout and select HTML/Javascript and then paste the adsense code there but there is no any direct option in blogger to add adsense ads above the post title. To add adsense above the post title you have to edit some codes in your template. You can also place adsense ads that are provided by blogger but that process is complicated, here i provide you a simple trick to place adsense ads above post title. One more thing you have to know that the ads won’t appear if you use that code directly. To use this code within the blogger (xHTML) template, you need to parse it first. Use this HTML Parse Tool to change special characters into their corresponding HTML entities.

Blogger threaded comments are everywhere now, but one of the basic feature which we always missed being on Blogger Blog, is the nested threaded comment feature with more than 2 level deep. A good blog commenting system helps to build a strong readership and help readers to engage more into discussion. In wordpress the threaded comments system is nested by default. But in blogger the threaded comment feature is available, but it is nested only upto 2 level. Recently Blogger Introduced Blogger threaded comment feature. Many bloggers found it to be useful but it is only limited with two level commenting. By 2 level commenting means the reply to comment is only 2 level deep. You cannot reply to comments in threaded form which are added as a reply. Threaded comments on Blogger is still immature and need more refine like nested commenting in wordpress with multilevel. That’s one of the many reasons. we prefer third party commenting system like DISQUS or Intense debate. For bloggers who like to acknowledge every comment reply in threaded form, this new threaded comment tutorial will be very useful. The idea behind this came from the simple observation. that most of us use @AuthorName to reply to comments posted by other users in 'single' threaded comments. So the javascript just parses the comment bodies for this author name and then searches for appropriate comments to find parents of the reply comments. This threaded comments include an author tag means when a blog author who write the comments on his blog post an author tag is displayed on his comment. You can even customize the color of author comments using css.

Labels are known as blog categories. Labels are linked pages that show several related blog posts. For example let’s say you running a blog and you are posting about “how to add labels in blogger” and you are sorting it with two labels such as tricks and blogger. Now you are posting another topic about “how to add labels in wordpress” and you are sorting it with tricks and wordpress. So if your visitors want to learn more about tricks they will use the label tricks which contains two posts. A category navigation makes it easy for users to find your articles, and also helps them discover similar titles on your blog. In wordpress we have two options, where we use categories as main topics and tags as micro topics. In Blogger you have only one option that is labels. Managing Labels in Blogger isn't as straightforward as in WordPress, but it is fairly simple. The Blogger Labels Widget can be styled in a variety of ways. Curled, Animated Labels and many more. Now, how about a colorful Labels Widget? This one supports a maximum of 20 labels. You could get this amazing rainbow widget by adding a few steps of CSS.

There are certain aspects in the design of a multi colored most commented posts widget that you should expect. That's why you'll find these specific components with this custom widget

Ordered by popularity. The posts that have the most comments are the most likely to have visitors want to read the post and join in with the conversation. By ordering your posts based on the popularity of them, you'll give each visitor the chance to see what the hype really is about. This lets you have a charted graphic that gives a visitor easy recognition, but also allows you to keep it straight and aligned if you're looking for a cleaner look.

Image incorporation. Blog posts that have at least one image incorporated with them will receive more traffic compared to posts that have no images. For every image that you include with a blog post, the more likely you are to get a click. The same is true with your most commented posts widget, so be sure to incorporate image that stand out with your design. Recently i published a tutorial on How To add Wordpress like Threaded comments In blogger. That threaded comments system is not in the pop up form. Many bloggers want to add threaded comments system in pop up form. So here i create a tutorial to add pop up threaded comments in blogger. Threaded commenting should make it easier for you to respond to individual comments. Recently Blogger implement its threaded comment system. But Blogger's implementation of threaded comments has its limitations, the threaded comment system is only two levels deep, means you can only reply to original comments, and not to comment replies. It’s obviously not the best of threaded comment systems. Blogger default Pop up comments is not in the threaded form means when you install default blogger pop up comments the comments will not get in the threaded form. Blogger threaded comments system works on the comments if you are not using pop up comment feature. To install this feature you don't have to edit your template so many times, You just need to add some codes only one time on your blogger blog template and this make your pop up comments in the threaded form

Live Demo

How to install pop up threaded comments in blogger

  • Go to Blogger Dashboard
  • Click on DropDown Menu and select Template
  • Backup your Template before making any changes to your blog
  • Now Click on Edit HTML
  • Press Ctrl + F and search the code shown below
</body>
  • Now Paste the Code Shown Below just above/before it
<script src='http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js' type='text/javascript'/>
<style type='text/css'>
#comments-block .avatar-image-container img{width:36px;height:36px}
#comments-block .avatar-image-container{border:6px solid #e3e3e3;left:-59px!important;top:-6px}
.comment-body{margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:5px;border:3px solid #e3e3e3;margin-right:0;padding:5px}
.admin-comment{background:#F4F4F4;margin:4px 4px 4px 0;padding:3px 3px 0;border:5px solid #e3e3e3}
.normal-comment{padding:3px 3px 0;margin-right:4px;border:5px solid #e3e3e3}
.comment-reply-link{font-weight:700!important;margin-right:1em}
#comments-block .comment-footer{margin-bottom:2px;margin-top:0}
</style>
<script src='https://howbloggers.github.io/howbloggers/pop-up-comments.js' type='text/javascript'></script>

Finally save your template. Now pop up window threaded comment is installed on your blog.

If you already have a jquery library on your blogger template then don't install it again on your template
Remember: This pop up threaded comments system is not compatible with the blogger threaded comments system, means in future if you want to remove these pop up comments and install blogger default threaded comments, then your replies which are in the threaded form will not work. The replies will look simple. But if you want to install threaded comments which is compatible with blogger default comment system and have more than 2 level deep commenting system you can check this post. We all bloggers watch videos on social platform including Youtube, Facebook and Google plus and embed some videos on our blog/website. But sometimes you might embed a lengthy YouTube video in your site and make a note to your site visitors telling them to just watch that specific portion. This is unnecessary and there are few who download the video from YouTube, then edit it with some video editing software and again upload that on Youtube and then embed it on their blog which is time consuming. But on youtube we don’t really have to download the video now we can bypass all that process and embed only small part of video we want. So here we will see how to embed part of a YouTube video with specific start and end time on blogger and wordpress

So you create a new video or you see someone sharing an amazing video and you want to embed it on your website to share it with your readers. But you Want to add a small portion part of youtube video on website/blogger/wordpress so that your blog readers will see what you want to show them. Then follow these steps.

How To Embed Youtube Videos with Specific Start and End Time

Open HTML editor of your post add the following code

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Video_ID?feature=player_embedded&start=140&end=265" width="320"></iframe>

First thing you have to do is to get the specific time you want your embedded video to start and the specific time you want it to end at. Then convert them into seconds. Let’s say you want to embed only the part of the video starting from 02:20 up to 04:25

In seconds, your start time would be ( 2* 60 ) + 20 = 140 and your end time would be ( 4 * 60 ) + 25 = 265

Replace Video_ID with your youtube video id and 140 with your video start time and 265 with your video end time. If you only want to specify a starting time and no end time, you can just omit the end parameter
